Amigos, estamos frente a una pelicula de la san flauta, de esas que estan tan bien echas, que no te cansas de mirar.
Ciudad de Dios es una peli de nuestro pais "hermano" Brasil, tanto de origen como la historia que cuenta. La peli trata la vida en las fabelas de aquel pais, algo asi como nuestras villas pero dominadas por bandas de delincuentes que matan no menos de 20 personas por dia, una pavadita.
Ciudad de Dios, esta contada desde la perspectiva de un niño devenido en adolescente, llamado Buscape, quien tiene el deseo de ser fotografo profesional, trabajo que luego consigue gracias a su cercania al jefe de unas de las dos bandas de la ciudad, Ze Pequeño, a quien le encantan que lo fotografien.
La pelicula es bastante cruda, mas aun al saber que esta basada en hechos reales. Obtuvo muchas nominaciones al Oscar en 2003, pero no consiguio ninguna estatuilla, aunque creo que se merecia mas de una. De cualquier manera, es la pelicula mas representativa y una obra maestra de Brasil

Cidade de Deus… é uma pena que não conte a historia como realmente foi.
Pra começar, na realidade não é favela já que é um bairro desmembrado de Jacarepaguá oriundo de um conjunto habitacional situado na Zona Oeste da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Foi construído em 1960 pelo governo do então Estado da Guanabara, como parte da política de remoção de favelas de outras áreas da cidade. Desse jeito não pode ser considerado favela.
Além disso, segundo o depoimento de Jorge (nome fictício), ex-comparsa de Zé Pequeno, ele garante que "Nunca houve esse negócio de dar tiro em mão de criança. Eu, que trabalhei com ele por dois anos, posso dizer que Zé Pequeno não era estuprador, não cheirava cocaína nem morreu cheio de tiros dados por menor de idade. Essa história de menor no tráfico é recente. Zé Pequeno e Mané Galinha nem deixavam as crianças chegarem perto das bocas. Além disso nunca vi criança de dente de leite com arma. E mais, não foi o Zé Pequeno quem matou todas aquelas pessoas dentro de um motel".
"Cidade de Deus" não é um documentário, mas uma ficção baseada no romance homônimo do escritor Paulo Lins, ex-morador da Cidade de Deus. Durante a transformação do estudo em livro e do livro em roteiro de cinema, as vidas dos personagens foram romanceadas, segundo o próprio Lins. "Fiz uma narrativa baseada na realidade. Mas ela não é a realidade", afirmou Lins em varias reportagens.
